Andreas Schick – Center for Drug Evaluation & Research, Food and Drug Administration, Director of Economics

Andreas Schick serves as the Director of Economics for the Office of Program and Strategic Analysis in the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). He serves as a leading authority on economic matters affecting FDA strategic initiatives and policy. Recently, he has used artificial intelligence and data science methods to solve long-standing economic questions, such as automating a visualized drug supply chain, predicting the demand for COVID drugs, and predicting supply chain issues. Andreas holds a PhD in economics from The Ohio State University and a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics from Binghamton University.

Jason Payne – Microsoft Federal, CTO

Jason Payne is leading the campaign to assist federal agencies to successfully and responsibly leverage artificial intelligence. Payne is working with agencies and industry partners to comprehend the complexities of the changing technology, including secure adoption within the government and ensuring alignment with compliance requirements, and building out use cases that support government’s missions.

Andrew Kagan – Planet Technologies CTO

Andrew Kagan guides Planet’s Strategic IT Planning and Enterprise Architecture efforts. He identifies and investigates important new technologies and brings them into the company’s strategic decision-making process. Andrew also consults Planet’s clients on emerging technologies as well as Information Technology trends and best practices.
